Sri Lanka, April 2 -- A Grade 12 schoolboy has been killed while another student sustained injuries in a tragic accident early this morning (02) when their motorcycle collided with a bus on the Kandy-Digana road near the Pallekele Army Camp, police stated.

The two students were traveling on a motorcycle to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium to help organize a school big match, when the collision occurred. Both were reportedly run over by the bus following the crash.

The injured student is receiving intensive care at Kandy National Hospital.

Pallekele Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash, including whether road conditions or driver error contributed to the incident.
