Srilanka, July 13 -- A 29-year-old school teacher died in a motorcycle accident on the Kala Wewa-Ipalogama Road earlier today (13).



Police said the accident occurred while two individuals were travelling from Kala Wewa towards Ipalogama on a motorcycle. The rider reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a roadside tree.



The motorcyclist died in the accident, while the other person travelling on the motorcycle sustained injuries and was admitted to the Dambulla Hospital.



The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old school teacher.



Ipalogama Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
