Rohitha Rajapaksa leaves CCIB after recording statement
Srilanka, June 25 -- Rohitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has left the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) after providing a statement regarding an investment he had made in two institutions located in Mirihana.
He had left the CCIB after recording a statement for nearly six hours, Ada Derana reporter said.
The investigation was launched following an anonymous complaint received by the Bribery Commission, alleging that Rajapaksa had invested a total of Rs. 19 million in two private institutions in Mirihana and Boralesgamuwa.
