Sri Lanka, May 19 -- Politics is not something separate from development and it shapes every choice we make in governance, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has stated.

She made these remarks while addressing the 60th anniversary commemoration of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, Brighton during her official visit to the United Kingdom.

The Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation landed at London's Heathrow Airport on 18 May, commencing the official visit to the UK.
