Srilanka, July 16 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya returned to Sri Lanka this morning (16) following her official visit to the State of Qatar.



The Prime Minister travelled to Qatar on July 14 to convey the condolences of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka on the passing of the former Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.



During her visit, the Prime Minister had expressed her deepest sympathies to Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, mother of the Amir of the State of Qatar and Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation, the PM's Office said.
