Pilot project to digitize education for children with disabilities
Srilanka, Aug. 21 -- A high-level discussion was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya to strategically plan the digitalization of special education and expand assistive technology for learners with disabilities.
The discussion held on August 18, emphasized that the pilot must be planned in every detail, taking to account of sector-specific challenges, as poorly designed implementation could result in devices and investment going to waste, the PM's Office said.
According to the statement, the key directives included:
