Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- The Department of Immigration and Emigration has announced that applicants visiting regional offices to obtain passports under both one-day and normal service categories must book an appointment online with effect from tomorrow (29).

Accordingly, applicants are required to reserve a date and time online before visiting the regional offices to apply for the relevant services.

The department has facilitated this process through a link titled 'Reserve a date and time to submit a passport application from Regional Offices' on its official website.

However, services at the Department's head office in Battaramulla will continue as usual, its Media Spokesperson, Mahesh Karunadasa, said.
