Manori Sallay files complaint alleging surveillance of her family
Srilanka, June 21 -- Manori Sallay, the wife of former head of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Major General (Retired) Suresh Sallay, has lodged a complaint with the National Authority for the Protection of Victims of Crime and Witnesses.
The complaint alleges that a civilian-clothed individual believed to be linked to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been repeatedly monitoring her and her two children.
According to the complaint, the individual followed her 17-year-old daughter and 22-year-old son when they visited the Colombo National Hospital yesterday (20) to inquire about their father's condition. It is alleged that the man photographed or filmed the children using his mobile phone during the incident.
