Sri Lanka, May 31 -- A man has reportedly died after a mound of earth collapsed in the Glantilwatta area of Maskeliya.

The deceased has been identified as a 41-year-old resident of Glantilwatta, police said.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim was removing soil near his house for the construction of another building when an earth mound collapsed.

Maskeliya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
