Srilanka, July 3 -- A 49-year-old man has been arrested by police for allegedly stealing mobile phones worth approximately Rs. 2.2 million from a mobile phone store located along the Horana-Anguruwatota Road.



The suspect, a resident of Grandpass in Colombo, is alleged to have broken the front glass door lock of the store and carried out the theft around 10 days ago.



Police investigations have also revealed that on the same day, the suspect allegedly broke into another nearby shop and stole goods, including cigarettes and milk packets, valued at around Rs. 66,000.



The arrest was made following a 10-day extensive investigation conducted by the Horana Police.
