Srilanka, Aug. 19 -- A 46-year-old man has been arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) over the alleged dissemination of unverified and false information through social media regarding an LTTE training camp.



According to the Police Media Division, the suspect was arrested yesterday (18) following an investigation into a video and media briefing circulated on social media.



Police said the suspect had allegedly claimed that an LTTE training camp was being operated in the Palai Reserve within the Akkarayan Kulam Police Division.



Police said the information circulated by the suspect had not been verified or substantiated.
