Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- A large crowd of commuters was reported at the Makumbura Multi-Modal Transport Centre in Kottawa today due to the upcoming long weekend, said Ada Derana reporter.

Meanwhile, severe traffic congestion has been reported at several entrance and exit points along the Southern Expressway, Outer Circular Expressway, and Central Expressway.

According to the Road Development Authority (RDA), heavy traffic persists near the Mattala exit of the Southern Expressway, the Kadawatha exit of the Outer Circular Expressway, and the Mirigama entrance and Yaggapitiya exit of the Central Expressway.

Motorists travelling through these areas are advised to drive carefully and exercise caution.
