Srilanka, July 16 -- More details have emerged regarding the suspect who allegedly scuffled and snatched a police officer's service pistol, shot another policeman with it and then escaped on a motorcycle in Katunayake Police Division last evening (15).



The information was revealed during interrogation following the suspect's arrest last night.



Several police teams launched a special operation to apprehend the suspect. Officers attached to the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau arrested him in the Divulapitiya area, where he was found in possession of 31 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine ("Ice").
