Govt. formulates policies based on erroneous data: Opposition Leader
SriLanka, Aug. 29 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa claims that the Government formulates its policies based on erroneous data.
The Leader of the Opposition made these remarks while addressing a farmers' meeting held today (29) in Tissamaharama, Hambantota.
Speaking at the event, he pointed out that the minimum income and wage required for the people of the country to survive remains at a very low level.
He stated that, according to reports issued by the Department of Census and Statistics, an amount of Rs. 17,315 is considered sufficient for one person to survive for 30 days. However, he questioned whether a person could actually live on this amount for 30 days.
