New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- Cabinet Spokesman Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that the government is currently considering a revision of fuel prices in Sri Lanka amid rising oil prices in the global market.



Minister Jayatissa said discussions are underway on the possibility of providing a subsidy to the public without passing the full impact of the increase in global fuel prices on to consumers.



"We are re-examining this fuel price increase to see if the government can provide a subsidy so that the entire burden doesn't fall on the public."
