Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- The Attorney General informed the Supreme Court that the Government has presented the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill and the Judicature (Amendment) Bill with the objective of expanding and streamlining the country's judicial system.

Solicitor General Viraj Dayaratne, appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, made this submission when petitions challenging the respective Bills were taken up for hearing.
