Govt explores national framework to protect children from online threats
Srilanka, July 22 -- A discussion on the implementation of a comprehensive national program with regulatory and educational solutions to protect children in Sri Lanka from cyber threats, online violence and negative impacts on their wellbeing was held in Parliament under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
The special discussion, held on July 21 and organized with the participation of a multidisciplinary working group of the Digital Education Task Force, focused on balancing children's access to the benefits of digital participation while safeguarding them from online harms, according to the Prime Minister's Media Division.
