Further consideration of intervening petitions in Suresh Sallay case adjourned
Srilanka, Aug. 6 -- The Court of Appeal today (06) adjourned the further consideration of intervening petitions filed in connection with former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General (Retired) Suresh Sallay's petition, challenging his arrest and detention by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
During the hearing, several counsels representing intervening petitioners, including Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, who filed the Intervening petitions, presented their submissions before the court.
Accordingly, the Court of Appeal adjourned further consideration of the intervening petitions until August 10.
