Srilanka, Aug. 17 -- Four managers of four private commercial banks have been arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) in connection with investigations into an incident where a money changer from Colombo Fort had allegedly transferred USD 01 billion without importing any goods to Sri Lanka, the police said.



All four bank managers were reportedly arrested while at their respective private banks.



It is stated that this is the first time such arrests have been made in Sri Lanka.



Investigations have revealed that the main individual allegedly involved in the scam had made weekly payments to the four arrested suspects.
