SriLanka, Aug. 15 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has extended warm congratulations to the Governments and people of India and Pakistan on the occasion of their respective Independence Days.



In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Herath congratulated Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar, as well as the Government and people of India, on the country's 80th Independence Day.



He expressed hope for further strengthening the enduring friendship and multifaceted partnership between Sri Lanka and India.
