Sri Lanka, March 5 -- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Hearth has held discussions with several foreign ministers of gulf countries pertaining to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Minister Herath has exchanged views on a number of topics during a phone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi.

The Foreign Minister noted that he exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and expressed his gratitude for Jordan's support to the Sri Lankan community.

Minister Vijitha Hearth has also agreed that restoring regional peace must be a top priority and has reaffirmed Sri Lanka's commitment to peace and stability in the region.
