SriLanka, July 18 -- It has been decided to conduct the final rites of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) C.D. Wickramaratne with full police honors.



Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) F.U. Wootler, stated that the late former IGP C.D. Wickramaratne would be accorded the standard police honors customarily granted to a retired IGP upon their passing.



Accordingly, the final rites of former IGP C.D. Wickramaratne are scheduled to be held on July 20 with full police honors.



The remains of former IGP C.D. Wickramaratne are currently lying at a private funeral parlor in Colombo, where members of the public will be able to pay their final respects from tomorrow (July 19).
