SriLanka, Oct. 4 -- Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most parts of the island after 1.00 p.m. today (04), the Department of Meteorology said.



Fairly heavy rainfalls above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, Southern, Uva, North-Western and North-Central provinces, the Met. Department stated.



Meanwhile, misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning, it added.



The general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
