Srilanka, Oct. 21 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced an eight-hour water supply interruption in several areas of Anuradhapura tomorrow (22), from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

According to the Board, the interruption is necessary to carry out essential maintenance work at the Anuradhapura Thuruwila Water Treatment Plant to improve the quality of the water supply service.

Areas Affected by the Complete Water Supply Interruption:

Wijayapura Water Supply Scheme: Wijayapura, Paladikulama, Nelumkulama and Kawarakkulama.

Nachchaduwa Water Supply Scheme: Nachchaduwa, Hidogama, Thuruwila and Nellikulama.

Thalawa Water Supply Scheme: Thalawa, Shravasthipura and 2nd Milepost.
