Srilanka, Oct. 18 -- Sri Lanka Police have stated that a detention order will be sought to question the suspect arrested with firearms, live ammunition and hand grenades during a search of a cinema hall in the Kirindiwela Police Division.

Acting on information received, officers attached to the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) searched the cinema hall in the Hanwella Road area on the evening of October 17.

During the operation, police seized a stock of weapons and ammunition and arrested a 38-year-old suspect residing in the Millathe area.
