Srilanka, July 3 -- The Vavuniya High Court has issued an order suspending the gazette notification recently issued by the Northern Province Governor removing the Mayor of the Vavuniya Municipal Council Sundaralingam Kandeepan from office.



The order was issued today (03) when the court considered a petition filed challenging the Governor's decision.



Accordingly, the court directed that the gazette notification be suspended until July 15, according to the legal counsel for the petitioner, President's Counsel M.A. Sumanthiran.
