SriLanka, July 14 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court today (14) ordered the temporary relaxation of the overseas travel ban imposed on former Minister Prasanna Ranatunga in relation to a corruption case.



The case was taken up before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama, Ada Derana reporter said.



President's Counsel Anil Silva, appearing for former Minister Ranatunga, informed court that his client needed to travel overseas for a personal matter and requested that the travel ban currently imposed on him be temporarily relaxed.



A representative of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed court that an order deemed appropriate by court could be issued regarding the request.
