Srilanka, Sept. 11 -- The Public Service Commission has approved a request made by the Ministry of Education to provide concessions regarding the efficiency bar examinations required under the Sri Lanka Teacher Service.



Accordingly, teachers who were promoted to Grade I of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service between October 23, 2022, and June 30, 2025, will be exempted from the requirement to complete the relevant efficiency bar examinations.



However, the relevant efficiency bar requirement must be completed before the next promotion, it was stated.
