SriLanka, June 8 -- The former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Major General (Retired) Suresh Sallay, who was in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under a detention order in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks, has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after his health condition deteriorated, the CID informed court today (08).

The CID informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court of the development through a motion, Ada Derana reporter said.

According to the CID, Suresh Sallay was transferred to the National Hospital last night for emergency medical treatment while remaining under CID custody.
