Cabinet approves USD 200 mln ADB-funded post-Ditwah recovery project
Srilanka, June 16 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to initiate the implementation of the "Post Ditwah Cyclone Renovation and Livelihood Assistance Project" with financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Ditwah cyclone, which struck Sri Lanka in November 2025, caused extensive damage to national infrastructure facilities such as highways, railway tracks and irrigation systems, as well as livelihood, economic activities and households.
