Srilanka, July 21 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has carried out special raids on several shops and restaurants located near major bus stands and long-distance bus stops across the island.



The operation was conducted within yesterday (20), with officers attached to the CAA inspecting a total of 112 such shops.



The CAA stated that the main objective of the special operation is to protect consumers from unfair trade practices frequently reported at transport hubs used by the public and passengers.
