Srilanka, Sept. 3 -- The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) against former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, over allegations of unlawfully acquiring assets worth more than Rs. 75 million beyond his legitimate income, be taken up for further hearing on September 22, 2026.

The case was taken up today (03) before Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihail, said Ada Derana reporter.

After considering the submissions made before the court, the judge ordered that the case be called again for further hearing on September 22, 2026.
