Appeals Court postpones further consideration of Suresh Sallay's petition
Srilanka, July 10 -- The writ petition filed by former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) Suresh Sallay, challenging his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks, was reconsidered before the Court of Appeal today.
The petition was taken up before a Court of Appeal bench comprising President of the Court of Appeal Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando.
During the proceedings, President's Counsel Sanjeeva Jayawardena made further submissions on behalf of the petitioner, Suresh Sallay, according to Ada Derana reporter.
