Srilanka, Sept. 3 -- The Department of Meteorology has issued an "Amber" advisory for strong winds and rough seas in the sea areas extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil.



According to the Met. Department, the sea areas off the coasts extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be rough at times, with strong gusty winds up to 50-60 kmph.



Accordingly, the naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
