Srilanka, July 13 -- The National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) has urged beneficiaries of the Agrahara Insurance Scheme to update their personal information before the July 31 deadline for the ongoing data system update.



NITF Chairperson Dr. Vishaka Wanasinghe said beneficiaries should complete the process without delay to continue receiving benefits under the scheme.



She said around 900,000 serving and retired public and provincial public sector employees who are entitled to pensions are direct beneficiaries of the Agrahara Insurance Scheme. Including their family members, nearly three million people currently receive benefits under the programme.
