Srilanka, July 15 -- Ada Derana's "Rebuild Sri Lanka" programme, directed by Rukmal Mallawa, has won the award for the 'Best Current Affairs Programme' at the Sumathi Awards 2026.



Ada Derana's "Science for Life" programme, directed by K.C. Saranga, has secured the award for the 'Best Educational Programme' at the awards ceremony.



Ada Derana also won awards for 'Investigative News Reporting' and 'Current Affairs Reporting'.



Further adding to its accolades, Ada Derana's news presenter, Parindya Gunasekara, was honoured with the 'Best News Presenter' award.



Ada Derana's "360" Programme has also been recognised with the award for the 'Best Political Programme'.
