Srilanka, Aug. 6 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that the water supply to Wellawatte and Pamankada areas will be temporarily suspended for seven hours tonight due to essential maintenance work.



Accordingly, the water supply interruption will be in effect from 10.00 p.m. today (06) to 5.00 a.m. tomorrow (07).



The NWSDB stated that the water cut is being carried out for essential improvement works of a project being implemented under the Greater Colombo Water and Wastewater Management Improvement Investment Program.



Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and use available water sparingly during the interruption.
