Srilanka, July 31 -- A 34-year-old individual has been injured in a shooting incident reported in the Mirissa Junction today (31), police said.



According to the police, the shooting was carried out by two unidentified individuals who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.



The injured person has been admitted to the Matara District General Hospital for treatment, police said.



Police suspect that a revolver-type firearm was used in the shooting, and the motive behind the incident has not yet been established.
