Sri Lanka, April 2 -- A 24-hour water cut will be imposed to Padukka, Homagama, and Pelanwatta due to the limited availability of water, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced.

Speaking at a media briefing today (02), the General Manager (Western Central) of the Water Board, Disna Pannila attributed the water cut to the limited water production in Labugama- Kalatuwawa reservoir.

Accordingly, a 24-hour water cut will be imposed to residents of Padukka from at 8:00 p.m. today (02) until8:00 p.m. tomorrow (03).

Following the water cut, steps will be taken to provide uninterrupted water supply to Padukka for four consecutive days, she stated.
