Srilanka, June 24 -- A 24-hour water supply interruption will be imposed from 8.00 p.m. today (24) until 8.00 p.m. tomorrow (25) in several suburbs of Colombo, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.



Accordingly, the water cut will affect the areas of Padukka, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, and Pelenwatte, while water supply to Maharagama area will be supplied under low-pressure conditions, NWSDB said.



The NWSDB stated that the water supply interruption is being carried out to facilitate essential maintenance work on the main water transmission line supplying water from Kalatuwawa to Boralesgamuwa.
