Srilanka, July 13 -- A 22-year-old suspect has been arrested by the Western Province South Crime Investigation Division for possessing a firearm resembling a revolver.



The arrest was made last night (12) during a raid carried out in the Railway Avenue area of Maharagama Police Division, following a tip-off received by officers of the Western Province South Crime Investigation Division.



The suspect, a resident of Railway Avenue, Maharagama, was taken into custody along with the revolver-like firearm.



Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Western Province South Crime Investigation Division.
