Sri Lanka, April 3 -- Sri Lanka Police have arrested a total of 147 foreign nationals in connection with an organized online financial scam operation.

The suspects were taken into custody while staying at a hotel in the Iranawila area of Chilaw.

According to police, the detainees include:

* 133 Chinese nationals

* 13 Bangladeshi nationals

* 1 Vietnamese national

Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
