Patna, Jan. 11 -- Vigilance sleuths caught two engineers, including an assistant engineer, red handed when they were accepting bribe of Rs 80,000 from the complainant here today. Sources at the vigilance department said that a trap was laid under the leadership of a DSP rank officer Mohamed Jamir Uddin on assistant engineer Gore Lal Paswan and junior engineer Nawab Lal, posted at Paliganj work division of state rural works department in Patna district when one Manoj Kumar Singh lodged a complaint against them. Mr Singh in his complaint accused Mr Lal of demanding bribe of Rs 80,000 for finalisation of work measurement.
