New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- Expressing serious concern at the attack on students and people belonging to Kashmir, which have taken place in different parts of the country, the CPI (M) on Sunday demanded both the Central, as well as state governments, to take firm steps against those resorting to hate campaign and violence.
''It is natural that people are aggrieved and saddened by the killing of 40 CRPF jawans in Pulwama. But to utilise this occasion to target innocent Kashmiris, is reprehensible,'' the party politburo said in a statement here.
''Firm action must be taken against those resorting to hate campaign and violence,'' it added.
