Bhubaneswar, Feb. 11 -- The rural as well as urban areas in Odisha will face acute water shortage during the coming summer, Odisha Pradesh Congress Chief Niranjan Patnaik today warned.
During last summer, most of the places in the state faced the problem and the people could not get water even for their daily needs, he said and apprehended a severe water crisis in the summer.
The ground water level, Mr.Patnaik said had depleted in most of the places and tube had gone dry. In many places, the ground water has been contaminated and unfit for human consumption.
