Bangladesh, Oct. 5 -- The shocking news of the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk (assassination is too antiseptic a word to characterize the brutal gunning down of a 31-year-old husband and father of two whose only offense was speaking out on social issues in opposition to the self-anointed elites who have seized control of American institutions) has raised serious questions about the future of our nation. Unlike most assassinations, Charlie Kirk was a “civilian,” not an officeholder or candidate. The only comparable case I can think of was the shooting of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was also the leader of a grassroots movement.
