Indian Supreme Court Advocate raises concerns over alleged threats to Hindu religious complex in Bangladesh
Bangladesh, June 12 -- An Indian lawyer practicing before the Supreme Court of India has formally expressed concern to the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi over reported threats targeting a Hindu religious complex in Bangladeshs Gaibandha district.
Amita Sachdeva, an Advocate on Record at the Supreme Court of India, addressed a letter dated June 12, 2026, to Bangladesh High Commissioner M. Riaz Hamidullah, urging authorities in Dhaka to ensure the protection of the religious site and uphold the rights and security of religious minorities.
