Gangtok, March 14 -- Director General of Police Akshay Sachdeva has instructed all district police units in Sikkim to take swift and strict action against complaints about hoarding LPG cylinders, creating artificial shortages, overcharging by porters, and illegally diverting domestic gas cylinders to hotels and restaurants.

In a message sent to Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, and Station House Officers, the DGP noted that authorities have received many complaints from various parts of the state regarding irregularities in LPG cylinder distribution.
