Gangtok, Nov. 21 -- The National Press Day, observed annually on November 16 to recognise the crucial role of media in safeguarding democracy, will be celebrated in Gangtok on November 25 this year. The event, originally scheduled earlier, was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The state-level programme will take place at Manan Kendra, where Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, who also oversees the Information and Public Relations Department, will attend as the chief guest.
