India, Aug. 28 -- Vodafone Idea is moving into a different phase of its long-running turnaround. After years dominated by subscriber losses, debt pressures and questions over its ability to fund network expansion, the company is now looking to put capital into the network and rebuild its customer base.

The change in emphasis is significant. Vodafone Idea has received greater clarity on its government-related liabilities, begun securing funding and, more importantly, has started seeing early signs of improvement in its operating performance.
